Our Association

What do we do?

N.K.S.W. Kompanio is the umbrella association of the faculty of social sciences. What we essentially do is to be the connection between the social science boards and the university. For example we have contact with several officers, like the wellbeing officer, the career officer and the communication officers. Furthermore, we also see the assessor and the Faculty Student Council regularly.

During the year, we organise several activities. Most are board activities for board members, to allow them to have fun at activities they do not need to organise. Next to that, we organise faculty activities; formal and informal ones. These are activities where every student from the social sciences is welcome. For example, in the past years, lectures from Maarten Prins about the topic of sex have been very popular.
Subsequently, we are excited to organise our big S-Cape party every few months. This is an event for all social science students as well.
We also organise the BuddyProject, which is an intiative to allow exchange students who have come to the Radboud University to match up with Dutch student. The objective is to promote integration between cultures and stimulate active student life for international, but also for Dutch students.
Lastly, we have the Kompanio Future Fair. This year it will be different than previous years, as it will now be a big fair where companies and organisations come to, allowing students to network with them. This also opens up the possibilies for internships, side jobs or jobs after graduation.

The committees

At Kompanio, we are fortunate to have dedicated committees and advisors who support both our events and decision-making. The S-Cape Committee helps organize S-Cape, one of our signature activities, while the Formal Affairs Committee is responsible for the Kompanio Future Fair, creating valuable opportunities for our members. Next year, the Lustrum Committee will make sure to properly celebrate the 10 years of Kompanio's existence!

In addition, our Advisory Council plays an important role in guiding the board. Its members provide insights, share experience, and offer advice.

Thanks to the commitment of these groups, Kompanio continues to grow and create amazing experiences for the social science students.
