The Xth Board
Get to know us
Hello there! We are the Xth board of N.K.S.W. Kompanio. We are four psychology students and one cultural anthropology and sociology student. Despite the heavy psychology representation, we find it important to represent the entire faculty.
Our goal as a board this year is to ensure all of Kompanio's roles are properly fulfilled. We continue in the footsteps of the last board and are excited to organise and bring to life all the exciting activities we have planned for the year.
We are learning a lot and having a great deal of fun working close together managing the association. We cannot wait to show you what we are working on!

The board members

Lotte Siemerink
CHAIR
Hi hi! I am Lotte and I am 21 years old. I study Psychology and am currently in my fourth year of the bachelor. This year I got the privilege of being the chair of the Xth board! I am really looking forward to a year with the girls of my board and everyone involved at Kompanio!
My schedule is almost as chaotic and hectic as I am. Free time is planned full with countless different things. I love spending time with my friends, drinking red wine and eating cheese. Next to this I love my family and whenever I have time in the weekend will go back home to chill and drink coffee with my mom, spend time with my siblings and cuddle with my cats. Next to an amazing life back home I also love to eat, chat and have game nights with my lovely roommates. If you know me a bit better, you also automatically get to know all of these people as I love talking about my memories with them almost as much as I love them.
I love both adventures with friends and quiet nights in. I love to read and buy new books, (which also contributes to a never ending to be read). If not reading or being in a public space I always have some background noise on, a series that is being finished in 3 days or my calm, sad girl music. This can be during some baking, being creative or simply during my house chores, work or studies. And lastly I love to take pictures, something that can be seen in my room as my wall is one big picture frame!
If there is a sliver of time I am almost up for anything especially a bit of yapping. So if you see me in the Common Ground or just anywhere, don't be shy to say hi! Looking forward to seeing you all!
Kerttu Kyllönen
SECRETARY
Hey hey all! I am Kerttu and I will be fulfilling the function of Secretary this year. I am a few weeks away from turning 22 and I am following second year psychology courses.
My life gets very busy. I love trying new things and making the spontaneous - often riskier - choices. I think this attitude led me here to Nijmegen "by chance" from my home country of Finland. I made a pit stop in France after high school, moved here for my bachelor's and who knows where off to next. That is why I am determined to make the best out of my time in The Netherlands!
When I have a moment to spare, I enjoy everything from crossword puzzles to pole dancing. In Nijmegen I am busy with pilates, spinning, studies and my job at a restaurant.
When I am visiting home I pick up the hobbies I left behind: riding, aerial acrobatics, sewing, skiing, baking, and hunting and fishing. I also make sure to give lots of love to our dog when I visit and use the sauna to the fullest extent.
You used to find me leaving the bar when the first rays of sunshine graced the streets, but now the inner grandmother has taken over (not to say grandma doesn't ever test if she still got it).
I am beyond excited for another year in Nijmegen. I am eager to see what the year at N.K.S.W. Kompanio brings and I hope to spend it together with you guys <3 See you around!
Hanna Bakker
Treasurer
Hey everyone! My name is Hanna, I’m 19 years old and currently in my second year of psychology. Besides my study I will be the Treasurer of the Xth board. I’ll be responsible for the money of the association, so you can call me the sugar mommy of N.K.S.W. Kompanio!
In my free time I love to be active with either water polo, running, pole dancing or an evening walk. Besides that, you can find me on the slopes sometimes. I have a very competitive side when it comes to sports, which is also noticeable during board games (or brassing with Julia). When I’m not being active you can spot me in the kitchen baking cakes or painting with my easel. As I’m a second year I have only known Nijmegen for a year, and I love to find new cool places in this amazing city!
I can’t wait to start the year, and to have the opportunity to meet you all! You’ll most likely see me running around RSC!
Julia Winkelhorst
CHIEF OF FORMAL AFFAIRS
Hallo babes! My name is Julia and I’m 22 years old. I’m in my fourth year of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology, and this year I will fulfill the amazing role as Chief of Formal Affairs. I know that sounds like a mouth full, but don’t worry, I also have no idea what I’m doing.
I like to cook and I can practice my skills at our monthly “hapjesdag” that I organize with my friends, where we all bring some food, like tapas! I’m fairly athletic (Hanna and I make the perfect bras duo), even though I’m too lazy to get a sports subscription at the RSC. I did gymnastics for a very long time, I love to dance, play soccer, and once in a while you can see me on a snowboard. I can get quite competitive and I have 3 sisters who hate to see me winning. If you think, ‘wow, 3 sisters, that’s a lot’ I live in a student house with no less than 13 roommates. That can be a little chaotic sometimes, but that’s what I love about it :)
I used to travel a lot when I was younger and, when my wallet allows it, I still try to do that as much as possible. In addition, I love to hang out in the Umoja room, work in a very crowded restaurant here in Nijmegen, and enjoy going to festivals!
See you (hopefully) soon at one of our activities!
Beertje de Ridder
CHIEF OF ACTIVITIES & Vice-Chair
Hello everyone! I’m Beertje, and I’ll be the Chief of Activities and Vice-Chair of the Xth board! I’m 23 years old and currently in my fourth year of the bachelor Psychology. The past years I have been active within VSA Nijmegen, Green+ and SPiN. As the cherry on top of my active student experience, I’m very excited to do a board year at N.K.S.W. Kompanio!
In my free time I love to swim (fun fact: I got my C-diploma at the ripe old age of 22!), make music, cook, bake and cycle. I even love cycling so much, that I deliver sushi on a bike as a side job! If you have me as your delivery person, you never have to wait long, as I know (almost) all the streets in Nijmegen by heart. Which is not surprising as I am born and raised in this lovely city! While I’m happily living in Nijmegen, I do love to travel from time to time to discover new places.
If you ever see me in the swimming pool, roaming around Nijmegen on a bike, on campus, or at one of the Kompanio activities, don’t hesitate to say hi!
